We are just five days away from Swap-A-Cross and the OBRA State Championships.  Are your legs ready, did you dig through the garage and find all your extra parts?  Well what are you waiting for?  Racing or not Nov. 19th is turning out to be a day to join us in Eugene.  We’ve had more exhibitors join us for the Swap-A-Cross, recent additions include local builders Capricorn Cycles and Winter Cycles – you know these guys will have some sweet bikes you’ll be drooling over.  Plus local bar company, Picky Bars is joining us with some really sweet treats!  Get your grub on with the Fire stone pizza truck while you ring those cow bells.  Check out the full exhibitor list on the exhibitor tab.

Don’t forget your items for the Swap – we’ll be setting up before the first races at 10am, so make sure to come stake out your spot!

Join us on Nov. 19th for the 2011 Swap-A-Cross – IT’s HAPPENING!!!

That’s right, we are bringing back the Swap-A-Cross.  This year it will partner with the OBRA Cyclocross Championship on Nov 19 at Camp Harlow – 3850 County Farm Road, Eugene OR.

So dig through the garage and bike room, its time to unload all those parts that have just been lying around.  Space is free to setup, but tables are limited so grab your grandma’s card table and some extra cash because you know you’re going to find something you cant go home without.

New this year – the swap and expo will be in doors!  Yep, keep your tootsies warm while you mingle with the vendors on display and check out the sweet swap tables.

The vendor list grows everyday, but expect to see Ridley Bikes, Lazer Helmets, Rolf Prima wheels, Co-motion Bikes, Local bike shops, Chance Fitzpatrick – Licensed  Massage Therapist, Pizza truck and more….

If you joined us last year you’ll remember that they brought some pretty sweet items from the race team for the swap. They will also be collecting toys for the annual Doernbecher Children’s Hospital – so bring a toy for the box while you check out what they’ve got out for the swap.

Winter Cycles will join us on the 28th

Winter Cycles – a local custom frame builder in Eugene will be joining us for the second annual Swap-a-Cross on Nov. 28th.  At Winter the focus is on fresh, clean, year round bicycles. The bicycles are made from a custom blend of steel tubing to be purpose built and rider-centric. That means each frame, each detail, is designed to fit your needs and wants for your riding style, tastes and environment. Be it a rainy day commuter, a Sunday cruiser or a thoroughbred racer.

Winter will be displaying cross frames and plans to have a few demo bike on hand as well, so make sure to come by and see his work in person.

It’s Happening!!! November 28th, 2010

Hello Folks,

Yes, it’s true. Enough people asked, emailed and begged for us to host another Swap-A-Cross swap meet at the final Psycho Cross Pseries cross race here in Eugene.  Start dusting off and inventorying your old bike parts and bring them on out to Camp Harlow and make some extra cash for the holidays.

Rolf Prima, Ridley Bicycles, Winter Bicycles, Lazer Helmets, Downtown Waffles are just a few of the companies that will be out there to serve you.  Rumor has it even the Co-Motion Cycles guys might even make a public appearance.

The new flyer is up, the date is set and all the details are getting filled in here on the blog.  Make sure to spread the word!!!

Thanks and hope to see you there.

Swap-A-Cross 2010

Thanks to all!!

Well.
Swap-A-Cross has come and gone and for it’s first year running I would say it was a success. The turnout was what I had hoped for and everyone there seemed to enjoy the swap, the racing and the food.

A big thanks to Lisa from Rally Coffee for keeping everyone fueled up and warm with amazing latte’s and coffe. Also a big thanks to Rolf Prima, Co-Motion and Portland Design Works for taking time out of their weekends to show the Eugene community what their brands are all about.

We also need to thank Eric Dungey and the Paul’s Bicycle Way of Life, GEARs and Ride Oregon folks for setting up over 60ft of tent for everyone to sell their stuff under cover of all the sunlight we had Saturday morning. Eric also brought two huge pots of chili and burritos.

Thanks again to all of you. I hope to post the pics I took of the event tonight.

Take care,
Chuck Hood

Set up @ 8:30am

Setup for the swap begins at 8:30am tomorrow morning.
Co-Motion, Rolf Prima, Pauls Bicycle Way of Life, and Rally Coffee will be out earlier getting things ready.

Coffee should be brewing in time for the cat C riders to fuel up before their race.

See ya there.
